Nalle Elementary School
Laena Lee has been an educator for 13 years and is committed to collaborative learning that engages students, staff, families and the community. As a college student, she taught Sunday School at her church, planting the seed that resulted in a career change to teaching several years after graduating. Prior to becoming an assistant principal at her current school, she has taught grade levels from 1st to 4th grade and has served as an instructional coach and math interventionist supporting staff and students. Laena continues to be committed to leading and providing highly effective professional development for staff and families and believes that every child can learn and succeed.
She holds Master’s degree in Elementary Education from American University and a second Master’s degree in International Education Policy from New York University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development from University of Connecticut.
